The Church of Elijah the Prophet is an Orthodox church in the historical centre of Yaroslavl on Sovetskaya (Ilyinskaya) Square and is it's main dominant. It truly is an outstanding architectural monument of the Yaroslavl school of architecture and painting of the 17th century.

The building is included in the UNESCO cultural heritage list and represents an object of the cultural heritage of the peoples of the Russian Federation of federal significance.

The architectural lighting uses powerful LED spotlights on poles taking into account the status of the object and its architectural features. The pylons are located behind the fence along the perimeter of the church building. In this project, we tried to integrate the lighting installations into the existing environment as much as possible to avoid the distortion of the historical appearance of the place. Soft, even lighting allows to reveal the architectural silhouette of the building, emphasizing its uniqueness, as well as enhances the role of the church as the composition centre of Soviet Square.
