The memorial complex to the liberators of Belgrade is the burial place of Soviet and Yugoslav soldiers who fell during the liberation of Belgrade in October 1944. It was created in 1953 by architect Branko Bon and engineer Alexander Krstić. The complex's territory covers an area of about one and a half hectares and looks like a park.

The main entrance is shaped like an arcade with bas-reliefs on the sides, carved from marble. The lamps built into the paving perfectly emphasize the texture of the stone and highlight the entrance group. Special optics eliminate the blinding effect when the observer is nearby; the light is directed exclusively at the structure. To illuminate the arches of the entrance group, an amber-colour shade is used, seamlessly combined with the colour of sandstone slabs and is associated with the image of the Eternal Flame.

It was essential for us to emphasize the connection between the Soviet and Serbian soldiers who gave their lives in the fight against fascism; hence, the lamps installed in front of each slab symbolize a burning candle, paying tribute to the fallen warriors.

Along the walking paths of the park, there are single and mass graves. In total, 2953 Yugoslavs and 791 Red Army soldiers were buried in them, including 564 known and 227 unknown.
