General lighting plan

A unique "Eternal City" complex, which is a classic Muslim caravanserai, is being built as part of an ultramodern tourist center under construction in Samarkand. This complex will reflect the appearance of historical Samarkand during the heyday of the Great Silk Road, when the ancient city became a crossroads of cultures and the largest center of handicrafts, trade and urban planning. Architectural lighting of buildings and structures is carried out in the traditional spirit, following the example of the illumination of the most famous architectural masterpieces of Samarkand and other ancient Muslim cities. The lighting highlights the ornate entrance arches, arched window openings and niches. Most of the lamps have Dynamic White LEDs with the ability to adjust the color temperature of white light in a wide range, this will allow you to perfectly match the color shade on the facades of buildings, thereby emphasizing the originality of ancient architecture. Almost all the lamps are built into the paving, and thus, they are not noticeable at all during the daytime. Since the construction of the Eternal City looks rather chaotic and crowded (as befits a real medieval city with narrow curved streets), it seems impractical to use lighting poles in this cramped space. On the territory of the island part, supports are used only sporadically on the periphery of the complex and are completely absent in the central part. The city is filled with light due to the use of hanging lamps under all the canopies, of which there will be a great many, as well as sconces hung here and there on the walls of houses. Specially designed lamps of individual design with modern high-performance LED retrofits have a color temperature of 2700K, close to the color of the glow of the torch.

A special atmosphere will be created by light projections that will be projected on blank sections of walls and depict various subjects of urban life. Each plot is a separate story of the inhabitants of the "Eternal City": a potter selling pots, a dancing couple in love, or a traveler visiting the city. This method of projecting light images will give personality to the place, and fill it with life and give visitors to the tourist center the opportunity to feel the "spirit of the place".
